Welcome to Year 3

The Class Teacher for Copper Beech is Miss Vienna Francis with Teaching Assistants Ms Leyla Lavelle, Mrs Hazel Barrett, Mrs Sarah Hoffman and Mrs Lourdes Marinetto Sanchez.  The Class Teachers for Silver Birch are Mrs Anna Ferry (Monday to Wednesday) and Miss Lucy Noone (Thursday and Friday).  They are supported by Teaching Assistant Miss Francesca Czarnowski.

During the school year, the cross-curricular topics covered are the 'Stone, Bronze & Iron Age', the 'Extraordinary Egyptians', ‘Mountains and Our Locality-Sevenoaks.' Throughout the year, the Science curriculum covers: Plants, Forces and Magnets, Rocks, Fossils and Soils, Light and Animals including Humans. All subjects are linked to our topic work where appropriate. The topics covered have a global dimension to develop children’s awareness of world issues and encourage learning for life.

Learning outside the classroom provides wonderful experiences and opportunities for the children to participate in their topic learning. Trips and activity days are organised to link with the topic being studied.
