Willow and Lilac

The Class Teacher for Willow Class is Miss Hollie Cossell. She is ably supported by Teaching Assistants Miss Abigail Rea (mornings) and Miss Katie Slade (afternoons). The Class Teacher for Lilac Class is Mrs Kerry Mather. She is ably assisted by Teaching Assistant Mrs Debra Coggin.

The topics covered in Year 1 are Ourselves, Seasonal Change, Through the Keyhole, Toys, Around The World With Barnaby Bear, Spectacular Space, and finally Sun, Sea and Sand. Throughout the year we enjoy visiting speakers who come to share their knowledge of our topics with us and a number of practical workshops. We go on many school visits ranging from a trip to the local Wagamama Restaurant to learn more about world cuisine during the topic on ‘Around the world with Barnaby Bear’, to visiting Hastings to see the Aquarium, Fisherman's and Shipwreck museum!
