Willow and Lilac

The Class Teacher for Willow Class is Mrs Hollie Guard. She is ably supported by Teaching Assistants Mrs Tilly Clapham. Mrs Anne Marie Lara and Mrs Rebecca Hancock. The Class Teacher for Lilac Class is Mrs Kerry Mather, supported by student teacher, Miss Emily James. She is ably assisted by Teaching Assistant Mrs Debra Coggin.

The topics covered in Year 1 are Ourselves, Transport, Life as a child in the 1950s, Exploring Space, Around the UK with Barnaby Bear and The Seaside. Throughout the year we enjoy visiting speakers who come to share their knowledge of our topics with us and a number of practical workshops. We go on school visits including a trip to Hastings to see the Aquarium, Fisherman's and Shipwreck museum!
