RECEPTION ADMISSIONS

At this time of year we would be holding an Open Morning and running Monday tours to all prospective parents.  We have remained hopeful that we might be able to offer you a tour, but it is clear that due to Government guidance this will, for the time being, not be possible.

We fully appreciate the enormity of choosing a school for your child and how extraordinarily difficult this process will be during these very strange times.  As a result, we have been pleased to put together a short film which we hope will offer you a flavour of who we are and what makes us different.  You can find this at the start of the  previous Admissions page .

We will, of course, be delighted to answer any questions that you may have; please read the frequently asked Questions below or  email;

We very much hope, as and when the situation changes, that we will be able to welcome you through our doors and allow our children to show you what makes our School special.

If your child is due to start school in the next academic year, you will need to apply online to KCC.   Please read through the Admissions Policy shown below and complete and return the Supplementary Information Form found at the end of the Policy (unless you are applying under Criteria 9 - All Other Children) directly to Lady Boswell's School.

In the April prior to your child starting school you will be informed by the Local Authority which school your child has been allocated. You can appeal against the decision and the allocation letter will outline how to go about making such an appeal. If your child is due to start primary school in September 2021 you can appeal between 16th April -17 May 2021 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 16 July 2021.   For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.  For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
