LADY BOSWELL'S SCIENCE WEEK - MAY 2021- BLOG

Science Week, May 2021, has been a real triumph and we certainly believe that we have succeeded in imbuing our children with an even greater passion for the subject. Amongst other things, the children looked into outer space, enjoyed being paleontologists, were present for the hatching of the Lady Boswell's chicks, became forensic scientists, enjoyed firework demonstrations and met an array of amazing creatures including Echo the gecko!  Fittingly, this jam-packed and inspiring week culminated with the exciting announcement that the School has been awarded the highest PSQM award.  Please follow our blogs below!

On Monday, 11th March, 2019, we launched this year’s science week at Lady Boswell’s! All the children came prepared in their ‘lab coats’ ready to fill them with all the scientific vocabulary they use in their learning this week.

LADY BOSWELL'S SCIENCE WEEK JANUARY 2018 - BLOG

 

During this very special extra-curricular week we are using the “appliance of science” to embrace real-life science, and to help connect the children’s learning to the world around them. Our aim is to imbue them with enthusiasm and to inspire enquiring minds.

 

The aim of our Blog is the same as it was for 2017; we want to ensure that you have an opportunity to see what the children have been working on in School each day.  Please do ask them to tell you all about their investigations, and get them to tell you about the science vocabulary that they have learned and written on their "lab coats"! 

 

The cost of Science Week has been borne this year solely by the the School Fund, and we wanted to show everyone what these funds have provided.  Thank you to those of you who have made a contribution to the School Fund; if you have not already done so, but wish to make a contribution, please visit your Parentmail account.

Welcome to the Lady Boswell’s Science Week 2017 Blog.

 

The aim of our Blog is two-fold…

 

We know that some of your children regale you each evening with news of their day; details of all they have done and what they have learnt. Of course, there are many other children from whom it is like "trying to get blood out of a stone” – our sympathies to those parents! Hopefully this Blog will allow you to have an insight into the activities that the children have undertaken during the week, the experiments that they have completed and the topics that have been covered during this very special extra-curricular event.

 

The cost of Science Week has been borne by the Lady Boswell’s PTA and the School Fund, and we wanted to show everyone what these funds have provided. An enormous thank you to the hard working members of the PTA, and to you all for supporting their endeavours. Thank you too for the contributions that have been made to the School Fund.
