Year 1 Willow and Lilac
Welcome to Year 1!
The Class Teacher for Willow Class is Miss Emilie James. She is ably supported by Teaching Assistants Mrs Debra Coggin and Mrs Rebecca Hancock. The Class Teacher for Lilac Class is Mrs Kerry Mather, who is ably assisted by Teaching Assistants Mrs Louise Seymour and Mrs Rebecca Hancock.
The topics covered in Year 1 are Ourselves, Transport, Life as a child in the 1950s, Exploring Space, Around the UK with Barnaby Bear and The Seaside. Throughout the year we enjoy visiting speakers who come to share their knowledge of our topics with us and a number of practical workshops. We go on school visits including a trip to Hastings to see the Aquarium, Fisherman's and Shipwreck museum!

Year 1 Targets
Below you will find links to our Writing, Reading and Maths targets for Year 1. These are the objectives that our pupils work to achieve each year in these subject areas. These target objectives are used both at School, and at home, to ensure every pupil is continually challenged, and are often referred to at parent consultation meetings when discussing pupil's progress and attainment.
