Sevenoaks Community

Sevenoaks Partnership of Primary Schools

Lady Boswell’s School is proud to be a member of the Sevenoaks Partnership of Primary Schools, a collaborative network of thirty-two primary schools across the Sevenoaks area.

The partnership brings together schools from a wide range of communities, including both rural and town settings. By working collaboratively, we support one another to enhance educational standards and promote the well-being of approximately 6,000 children.

Through the partnership, schools share expertise, resources and best practice. We also work with a range of external partners and draw on the knowledge and experience within our own schools to provide high-quality professional development for school leaders, teachers and support staff.

Being part of this partnership strengthens our commitment to providing the best possible education and opportunities for every child.

Weald Heights Care Home

The School has been pleased to forge a relationship with a Residential Care Home based in Sevenoaks, Weald Heights, which opened in 2017. The children enjoyed helping the Home to name one of their suites and were also involved with naming a play area. Our children have visited the Home on occasions to sing and chat with the residents.  In the summer of 2019, Weald Heights kindly invited a group of our children to join with them for a 'Colourscape' workshop; a wonderful sensory experience for both our students and residents from the Home.  We continued to nurture our valuable intergenerational friendship with the residents at Weald Heights through the COVID 19 'lock down', with a sharing of artwork.

In December 2020, mindful of the isolation those in Care Homes were feeling,  our pupils made individual Christmas cards for every Care Home resident in Sevenoaks.  We were thrilled that a number of Homes were in a position to reciprocate.

A group of our pupils were delighted to join with the residents at Weald Heights Care Home to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.  To mark this special occasion, together they planted a tree.  Following this in December 2022, members of our KS2 Choir joined together with residents from Weald Heights for an afternoon of carols.

In March 2024, we were delighted to welcome residents from Weald Heights to School.  Three former teachers came along to meet our children and read them a story.  They then told the children a little about their childhoods, including what it was like to be an evacuee!  One of our visitors was a former Lady Boswell's student and we were thrilled to show her around the School and look through the old School ledgers to find her family members who had also been students at the School in 1919.

This special inter-generational relationship continues and we are very grateful for this friendship.
