Welcome to Year 4!

The Class Teachers for Sycamore Class are Mrs Ali O'Brien (Monday) and Mrs Sally Milne (Tuesday to Friday).  They are supported by Teaching Assistants Ms Bronwyn Pipe, Ms Shannon Gibbons, Mrs Ros Collett, Ms Katie Slade and Mrs Lisa Mulhearn.  The Class Teachers for Holly Class are Mrs Anna Ferry (Monday and Tuesday) and Miss Naomi Hunt (Wednesday to Friday).  They are supported by Teaching Assistants Mrs Sally Goodman and Miss Amy Benson.

During the school year, the cross-curricular topics cover the Romans, Europe, Ancient Greece and India.  Learning outside the classroom provides wonderful experiences and opportunities for the children to participate in their topic learning.  We enjoy a Roman day, a Greek day and some Indian cooking experiences.  In Year 4, we aim to develop children's awareness of world issues and encourage learning for life.

Throughout the year, the science curriculum covers sound, electricity, the digestive system and teeth, living things and habitats and states of matter and these areas are also linked to the current topic where possible.

Year 4 Targets

Below you will find links to our Writing, Reading and Maths targets for Year 4.  These are the objectives that our pupils work to achieve each year in these subject areas. These target objectives are used both at School, and at home, to ensure every pupil is continually challenged, and are often referred to at parent consultation meetings when discussing pupil's progress and attainment.
